Hmm. I agree, very interesting. I am reading Ulysses by James Joyce right now. It is very good and I can definitly see the heightening of sensitivity to the complexities of life and individuals.
However I feel that in novels like that we are often drawn to sympathize with characters regardless of their goodness or evil acts. We do see through to the motivations of those portrayed which can help us in being patient with people and the like. But I feel that it can also dramatizevandveven romanticize negative aspects of life and begin to skew our lines of what God says is good and worthwhile.
But certainly a nice quote.
